Mission
The Dukovic Foundation is committed to the appreciation and advancement of photographic works worldwide. The foundation operates activities to promote the medium of photography through educational programs, lectures, exhibitions, books, and other media, and maintains an archive of Pari Dukovic’s art.
About Pari Dukovic
Born in 1984 in Istanbul, Turkey, Pari Dukovic is an award-winning photographer working across the genres of portraiture, fashion and reportage. He moved to the United States to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received a BFA in photography and art history in 2006. Following in the footsteps of Richard Avedon, he became the staff photographer for The New Yorker in 2012. At age 28, he was the youngest ever to hold the position in the magazine's nearly 100-year history. Additionally, Dukovic's editorial work has been published in numerous major magazines including Time, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, New York Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Vanity Fair. Dukovic photographed the cover of Barack Obama's memoir, A Promised Land, as well as the cover of NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson's book. For Rizzoli's recent tome published New York City: Ballet Choreography & Couture, Dukovic photographed 129 costumes on 11 dancers, representing a decade of fashion designers' collaborations with the ballet. His work has been collected by The Smithsonian and The Brooklyn Museum.
